Bild Expo starts this Wednesday, and with it come a bunch of small extra show discounts from this site's exclusive advertiser (the 50th anniversary deals keep getting revealed through September 14th, by the way).
Wait, what? You have no idea what Bild Expo is? This is B&H's attempt to revive a major New York City camera show (e.g. the late PhotoPlus Expo), but of course with a big anniversary twist and because they observe the Jewish Sabbath, the unusual mid-week dates. The physical show is free (registration required), and is held in the North Hall of Jacob Javits Center. The exhibit hall is open from 10am to 5pm on September 6th and 7th, but there are other activities outside that, so check the links, below. Note that you can get up to two bodies and two lenses checked and cleaned on site by Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, and Sony.
Art Wolfe, Frans Lanting, and a host of other photographers whose names you might have heard of are giving speeches or presentations at the multiple stages that are being set up at Javits (4th floor). The Main Stage presentations should be streamed on the B&H Web site, and other presentations may be recorded for later playback on the B&H YouTube channel.
